anti-seize
grease
good rag

here is what you'll be working with -- remove the fork assembly with t/o bearing

t/o bearing and fork removed -- look how grimy and dirty :(

here are the areas of interest on the transmission --
input shaft
t/o bearing shaft
fork pivot

another shot of these areas which need to be cleaned thoroughly

spraying carb cleaner on the t/o bearing shaft

spraying carb cleaner on the fork pivot

with the good rag thoroughly clean off the shaft the t/o bearing rides on

wipe down the transmission input shaft also
