From street/strip clutch of a stage 1, to full drag racing of a stage 5, we have you covered! Making power is one thing, finding the right clutch to hold it is another. SPEC Clutch gives you high quality, high torque capacity clutch with great variety for your vehicle All kits include clutch disk, throwout bearing, pressure plate, alignment tool and a pilot bearing(pilot bearing is NOT to be used in an mr2 application!).

STAGE 2 - Street & Strip. This kit features high clamp pressure plate with a segmented chatter free Kevlar sprung disc. The Kevlar disc offers smooth engagement, quiet operation with light pedal feel and increased torque capacity over Stage 1. This is excellent for daily driving and occasional racing. All clutch kits include release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool (if applicable). *Note: Cars with dual mass flywheel will come with unsprung disc.

STAGE 3 - Ultimate Street & Strip Clutch!! This kit features high clamp pressure plate with a ceramic sprung hub disc. The disc is a 3-piece design sprung hub to deliver sharp aggressive but yet smooth engagement. Quiet operation with increased torque capacity over Stage 2. The ceramic material is highly durable and heat resistant. This kit is excellent for daily driving and racing especially for cars with higher output engines. All clutch kits include release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool (if applicable). *Note: Cars with dual mass flywheel will come with unsprung disc.

STAGE 4 - Serious Road Racing & Drag Racing Clutch!! This kit features high clamp pressure plate with 6 pad copper ceramic disc. The disc is a 2-piece rigid design to deliver sharp aggressive engagement. This style of engagement is ideal for racing where quicker shifts are required to beat the competition. The disc is lightweight for better performance since the disc is unsprung. Also the unsprung hub reduces the chance of failure which is ideal to win races. This kit is excellent for race cars with higher output engines. All clutch kits include release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool (if applicable).

STAGE 5 - Drag Racing Only!! This kit features high clamp pressure plate with an iron disc. The disc delivers extremely sharp, aggressive engagement. Ideal for drag race cars ONLY (never street driven) where the highest torque capacity is required. The disc is also lightweight for better performance since the disc is unsprung. All clutch kits include release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool (if applicable).

WHAT CLUTCH KIT SHOULD I GET??

As you can see, SPEC Clutch Kits are listed in stages. To choose the right setup, you need to ask yourself what is your car going to be used for and also how much torque capacity you need.

Street Cars
For Street Cars, we recommend using kits with street discs. The street disc is very smooth engagement, quiet operation and great drivability. Some applications may offer different street discs. Stage 1 offers a steel backing woven organic lining for improved performance and longevity. Stage 2 offers segmented chatter-free Kevlar disc for improved performance, better heat dissipation, and longevity. For high powered street car we recommend a Stage 3 clutch kit. Stage 3 offers a 3 piece sprung hub cooper ceramic race disc; giving a SHARP but smooth engagement and light pedal feel.

Race Cars
For Race Cars, Weekend Racers, or High HP Cars, we recommend using a Stage 4 clutch kit. The race discs are made of copper ceramic and feature quick engagement, quick shifting, lightweight solid hub, durable and resistant to heat. The race disc is good for race cars with little to no street driving.

For high powered drag race cars who wants a high clamping load pressure plate w/ a iron solid hub race disc Stage 5 is your answer. Handles high torque loads with a aggressive engagement.

Flywheel
For some applications, we offer lightweight flywheels. These flywheels are usually 1/3 to 1/2 the original weight of the stock OE flywheel. A lightweight flywheel improves engine response, frees up lost power with less rotational mass, relieves stress from the crankshaft, will improve 1/4 mile times for drag racers, will improve times for road racers (quicker acceleration & deceleration) and reaches boost quicker for turbo cars. We only sell the highest quality flywheel available. All flywheels we offer are designed to the same OE specs with lighter & stronger materials.
